These are beautifully designed motor or solenoid drivers for use with an Arduino or other 5V controllers. 12V (or up to 35 V) arrive and it goes there or another motor through simple screw connectors. Since I'm using 12V, the other output is 5V, perfect for controlling the Arduino and various sensors. My understanding is that it works up to 35V, but then the 5V output is not available. Looking at its circuit, it has all the basic elements including diodes to prevent reverse current burnout. I've used it to control electromagnets and there didn't seem to be any problems with them. I gave five stars for ease of use. It has simple connections for power input, motor control, motor control and 5V for everything. It has a range of jumpers for higher voltages and many other control options. If you've never chained before, you probably need to learn a little. If you're already an amateur and you know the basics, these guys offer good service with few surprises.
