3M 39017 Lens and Hard Plastic Cleaner - 8 oz. Very easy to use and the results are amazing. I applied it to the headlights with a microfiber cloth, waited about 7 minutes for it to dry to a matte finish, then wiped it off with a clean microfiber cloth and the headlights looked almost new. I wanted to see how clean I could get them. So I repeated the process 2 more times and the 2nd time gave a bit more clarity and the 3rd time I didn't notice any significant difference. After using "3M 39017 Lens & Hard Plastic Cleaner - 8 oz" the instructions say you can proceed with "3M 39010 Headlight Lens Polish & Protective Bottle - 8.0 oz" so one day I tried to use polish. I think the polishing might have made the lens a little cleaner, but the most significant and dramatic difference was made with just the cleaner. So there's no harm in buffing, but I think a cleaner is all it takes to get great results. by adding additional steps. Even if the headlight lenses oxidize a few months or a year later I don't care as they are so easy to clean and the bottle of cleaner is still about 85% full so it will last me forever.
