Review on Zircon Leak Alert Electronic Batteries by Marco Huff

A must have item in any home

I bought these for a rainy day and didn't expect to really need them. Turns out these tiny alarm clocks saved my house twice! There are three in the package, so I placed one behind the washing machine, one under the kitchen sink, and one next to the water heater. Nothing happened for the first two years, and then one day I heard a noise from the other side of the house. I looked around and suddenly realized it was a leak alarm! I run to the water heater and see that the utility room (which connects to the guest room) is flooded with water from my broken water heater. I never go in the back room. So it's hard to imagine what my spare room would look like if I didn't have this alarm when I find this leak. The second time, a few months after the incident, the alarm went off in the kitchen. My kitchen sink is leaking. The product itself is not high-tech. A locket wire protrudes from the bottom of the box, which works if it comes in contact with even a small amount of water. If you wipe the cable dry, the alarm will turn off. This way you can easily test the product when you receive it (I did). I think this is a necessary thing in every home. You spend little but can potentially save a lot.
