Worth every penny! about water detectors and alarms

We have used them in our home and also in our RV. We've only had a few instances where they worked, but when they did, it was always a leak. Once the washing machine hose burst. There was also a leak under the sink in the home's bathroom, and the dishwasher's connection to the sink in the RV began to leak. In any case, the sensors worked and warned us about the problem. They also make noise when they work! You are missing.

As I wrote this, the alarm went off - the fridge was leaking!

Arrived in 24 hours and just what I needed. Unfortunately I bought them AFTER my dishwasher leaked through the subfloor, fell underground and ruined the Pergo floors. Interruption: As I sat down to write this, the alarm went off behind my fridge. Moved the fridge to find the dripping water. Either way, these things are LOUD. You don't sleep through an alarm clock when you have a small house like mine. My water heater is in my basement under my bedroom so I know I can easily hear it in the…

I also like that these Zircoms come with a battery, so .

I think a lot of people don't think about leaks when there aren't any. Well I can tell you that water leaks and water damage are very, very stressful, lower your morale and lower your wallet because I've experienced a few water leaks. It doesn't matter what water warning device you use, you should have one. When the water leak alarm sounds and you close this valve immediately and save your cabinets or anything nearby, you'll thank yourself. I just received them and tested these alarm clocks by…

Saved me a lot of money. Have owned these for 5 years.

I live in Houston, Texas. Have owned 3 of these in 5 years. One is in my AC spill pan, one is in my water heater spill pan, and the other is in my dehumidifier spill pan. See how these alarms prevented damage on three separate occasions. The last time was when Tropical Storm Harvey hit Houston, dropping 37 1/2 inches of rain in 24 hours. Wind and rain have entered my attic. Fortunately, rain was detected by these alarms. I recommended this alarm to a neighbour, she felt the alarm saved her a…

Good product! Suitable for water detectors and alarms

Well they work! I bought these for our 26ft trailer and attached one to every water hose/drain I could access. I put a paper towel underneath so all the water in that area was absorbed by the towel and the sensor went off. Driving through a particularly bumpy PNW mountain pass, we stopped to stretch after our knuckles turned white. As I got out of the car, I heard the alarm. The alarm was loud enough to be heard over the diesel engine and a handful of cars passing behind us. Luckily only water…

Bigger than it looks

This is a 5 star product with one major downside: size. If you expect to fit under your fridge or dishwasher, measure carefully as this unit is 1-3/8 inches tall. You also need to consider the 2-3/8" width and 4-1/4" length. In other words, he's more than he looks. On my dishwasher with a tall tub (and almost all are of this design now) there's no way the sensor can fit under it where it really should be. No way. So I placed it in front of the running board. Aside from the device not being…

A must have item in any home

I bought these for a rainy day and didn't expect to really need them. Turns out these tiny alarm clocks saved my house twice! There are three in the package, so I placed one behind the washing machine, one under the kitchen sink, and one next to the water heater. Nothing happened for the first two years, and then one day I heard a noise from the other side of the house. I looked around and suddenly realized it was a leak alarm! I run to the water heater and see that the utility room (which…

Luckily it happened most of the time we were there

We had multiple leaks in my back room and basement. Luckily we were there most of the time. But sometimes we reacted very late, which caused damage to the floors. So I decided to search Amazon for a solution that would warn us. My criteria were pretty simple. It had to be cheap, loud and easy to use. And this product fits. Unfortunately, we had more water issues in the back room, but this time we were able to respond to them much more quickly because these alarms went off as soon as a small…
