This is a small van intended to be used for short trips. My cat is under 10 pounds but is long and fits. I just don't think she gives kitties the hiding places they sometimes need. i like blue The zipper was really stuck and I was afraid I would break it. I think that for a shy cat you have to be very agile. The bottom is nice and provides a solid base (board?) with a removable Sherpa zip cover - a bit of softness and if an accident happens to a kitten it can be removed and washed. It's easier to handle than my Sherpa bag, the bowling bag handles are perfect, and as someone said you can put it on your lap when the kitten needs comforting. If you have a nervous Nellie ruining these things, the price is great. It doesn't stay open on its own, and there are a few random pads and a clip-on strip, but I have no idea how to use them.
