Tuning Required in Power Tool Parts & Accessories

I want to love this tool. It's a great design and easy to use, but inaccurate. Maybe that's because of its aluminium-plastic construction. On mine, the pins are cut about 1/16 inch higher than the shafts, leaving an unsightly gap. It is not flat and wobbles when cutting the pins. You should be able to adjust the bit height past the 1/2 inch mark. on his depth gauge. But even for this purpose it deviates significantly - and only deviates slightly from the depth of the pen. But there's a relatively easy fix, ironically due to the soft metal. Rub the back until it is right and its working stops are level with the stops on the side of the pen. Once that's done, use scrap metal until the connections line up perfectly. Then mark the exact height of the drill on the jig for future reference. I hope this fix works for you. If so, then it costs $40.
