Excellent forge for beginners

I love this little thing. It's a great forge for small projects and I've already started working with it. Assembly was quick and easy and I burned it within 30 minutes of opening the box. Only one problem keeps it from five stars. My firebrick was broken in half when I received it. This is most likely the wearer's fault as it was well packaged (clamped between two foam bricks and taped very well) but it will definitely shorten the life of the ceramic insulation and the brick itself. On propane (10 psi) my forge ran for about 60 hours total. During that time I had no issues or problems. Eventually, the bolts holding the burner in place became loose, so check them before you light the forge. They get very hot during operation. I've made half a dozen knives and a few tools at this forge and they all work great. The broken brick hasn't affected the insulation yet, but I'm keeping an eye on it and will update if that changes. The heating time at 10 psi is approximately 5 minutes from cold steel to forging temperature for 1/4 inch x 2 inch rectangular billets. and about 30-45 seconds to reheat after hitting it with a hammer. For the price, this forge really can't be beat. I also added fireclay bricks to keep warm. personal choice. UPDATE: After two full months of use and starting to notice signs of wear. I will be replacing the liner this week as it obviously starts to melt the case as it wears out. The whole circle at the top got hot while working and started learning. There are several gaps in the metal that I haven't seen before (or have opened up from overheating). Not sure what the lifespan of the liner should be, but two months seems short.
