Wow! I wasn't expecting this dress to be so nice. The "cardigan" part is a pretty substantial knit, and the "dress" part has a slightly stiffer wool-like feel. It's not high end but feels a LOT more expensive than twenty-something bucks. I am 5'6" 10/12 and ordered the XL to err on the side of looser rather than tight. I carry my weight about 60/40 chest/hips and have a thicker waist. The skirt/hip area is a little loose but skims so is not unflattering - and the midsection has enough room for a food baby if i order out for lunch.! The entire dress has enough stretch to be comfortable; I have quite broad shoulders and sometimes struggle with a garment's tightness across the back if i put my arms forward - not so here. The top fits great with a structured bra but with a softer undergarment smashed a little. The skirt hits me right at the knee and looks great with boots. I wore this to the office and got a ton of compliments. I'll be ordering another one if I can decide on a pattern!
