1] Use a Dremel tool with a multi-purpose cutting and milling attachment. I was able to cut out each seat in about 3 minutes. I can't imagine using a utility knife or blade.2] DO NOT REMOVE FOAM. I see videos on YouTube of people doing this. This is not required and will cause pockets around the frame. Simply slide the foam around the insert as you walk.3] Yes, you will need to cut the seams at the front. Trying to stretch it to the size you want is a waste of time. 4] Use masking tape to set the pattern and reuse the pattern. Cutting out the pattern/template took longer than cutting out the seat. Save time and effort.5] I preferred not to try to cut all the way through the styrofoam. Instead, I used my fingers to slowly separate it, pushing toward the back of the template so I can keep it centered while separating. The foam breaks down easily. You don't need a blade.6] It took me about 15 minutes to install each spot. Much quicker than I thought. The Dremel is a great time saver. Having a desk that you can work at waist height is also very helpful as you will need to push the two pieces together to lock them in place.
