I recently bought a 15 inch AMD HP-15-db0069wm laptop with 8GB RAM filling one of two memory slots. I doubled the storage to 16GB for less than $40. Two RAM bars put AMD boards in dual-channel mode, which further increases performance. This RAM is the exact same model that came with my laptop. Besides upgrading to an M.2 500GB SSD as my boot drive, I now have a "cheap" laptop that doesn't run cheap at all. WARNING: Installing these parts for the above HP laptop is not for the faint of heart. While I wouldn't think twice about taking apart a new laptop, some can, and for some I would recommend having your local computer store install it for you. There are instructions for dismantling on the Internet for the brave.
