I received this duvet on 3/5/21 and am writing this review after using it once. Let me tell you right away, the fabric inside is fine, quite soft - sort of what a plain Target varsity blanket looks like. In general, this is a very warm and heavy blanket, so it may not be suitable for all sleepers. We live in a cold climate so it's not that big of a problem. However, the reason I give this rating "so-so" is because the quality of the outer fabric and stitching is definitely NOT GOOD. Threads are sticking out all over the hem. The Chinese were obviously in a hurry. And the outer fabric is by no means silky! It's a very scratchy, rough polyester that's fine for the outside of a duvet, but not for pillows, which are as scratchy as any throw pillow you buy at Walmart. It has a little sheen, but more in the sense that the plastic mesh is sheen rather than silk. I have several rayon pajama sets that are much, much silkier than this fabric. In addition, we used it exactly 1 night and there are already imprints on the outer fabric. These guys could get away with using 100% polyester with no trim (which I think they did for the last set of Madison Park). , but unfortunately it didn't come complete, so I missed out on buying it). Finally, if you wish to purchase this piece for a "shiny rayon" effect, I urge you to look elsewhere. It's actually not that shiny, at least the green set. I'm almost wondering if the other kits pictured in the reviews and listing were made from a completely different material. The only reason I decided to keep it is because I realized that the quality would probably be worse when I bought it at such a low price. It's very cool and I really don't expect it to last more than a year (especially since the filling is already starting to stick together) but this will be the last time I buy anything comfort related through Amazon.
