When my baby was born I was given an original designer lamp to use as a night light for feeding at night. The original was basically the same, but without a remote control, just a tap function. I loved it! Super cute, soft, great colors, love the charging and portability. Unfortunately, the charging connector broke after a year. So we ordered this new replacement version. We thought great! Remote control! Even easier to use, right? Except I hate it. In addition to the removed feature, they also added a battery saver feature. This will turn the cat off after about 2 hours. It is therefore completely useless as a night light in the children's room. They wake up screaming 2 hours after I put them to bed because they are suddenly plunged into darkness. So I'm like, okay, it's okay, I'll just grab the remote and turn it on real quick. Except that the remote control is very cheap and doesn't work half the time. Or you have to be so close for the remote to register that you could just walk up and still touch it. So of course I'm going to return it and buy another original, simpler design.
