Straightforward 'installation' process that takes about a minute to hook up. I was underwhelmed by the picture quality when using this to watch DVDs with my brand new TV. As most of you have experienced, newer TVs don't always have proper ports to use directly with older home theaters. My home theater sound quality is still, in my opinion, among the best there is so I don't want to change it. I opted for this converter with high expectations. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. It waters the picture quality down quite a bit to where it looks worse (grainy, color distortion), not better than it did when watching directly through the home theater with my previous, slightly older TV. I still haven't found a satisfactory alternative with a brand new Samsung TV. This one isn't the one for me. Any suggestions are welcome!
