This item was very easy to set up and install. I had no problems at all with the setup. While the instructions aren't perfect, they're easy to follow. It really makes me feel better about food in the freezer that is over 30 years old. The alarm sounds when the freezer gets too warm. I've set it to sound an alarm if the temperature is still below freezing, so I don't have to worry about defrosting food before I know there's a problem. Once in a while the alarm will go off if I open the door for a while, but that just gives me reassurance that the alarm is working.
