Of course better than expensive pharmacy creams! I rarely write reviews, but I had to for this soap. I have had horrible skin all my adult life, especially redness and flaking on my face. A few years ago I went to my doctor who prescribed me ketocanzonal. Helped but never healed. Then a few months ago I decided to go to a dermatologist. She prescribed Elidel which is SUPER expensive at over $800 a tube! Luckily my insurance paid for most of it, but it's just a rip off of something that only contains 1% of the active ingredient. I've been using it for about two weeks with very little effect. Concerned about the side effects of these recipes, I stopped using them. My wife read about this soap and bought a bar to try. I was scared because most soaps dry my face out even more, but not this one! My skin has been in the best condition since I was a child. I no longer have scales around my eyebrows and nose and they are not as red as before. I also like how it really lathers. I have an appointment with a dermatologist in a week and I'll tell her about it. It is doubtful whether she will take care of it, as I am firmly convinced that all doctors are on the same side as the pharmaceutical companies. Sad but true.
