As mentioned, look no further. I installed this in my 1999 Cherokee in under an hour and am a weekend mechanic at best. Watch the video on YouTube and read others' comments while installing. Remove a bolt, a nut from the positive terminal on the starter and 2 bolts (14 and 15mm) and it pops right out. It was exactly the same as the one I took. I didn't even have to jack up the jeep. I'm so glad I found this cheap replacement for my plow. Oh yes, I turned the jeep on and all the lights came on, but when I turned the key to light it all I had was a click, and no matter how hard I pushed the old starter, it didn't work. Save yourself a few bucks and buy this. I was amazed at how much lighter and stronger this starter fired the old girl. And with Prime, I had a baby the next day. Hope this helped!
