When I installed the seat the caps didn't fit the plastic studs. When I tried to snap them on, the lid came loose (see photo). I haven't been very rough with it. I don't have a lot of arm strength so I don't think it was my fault. The toilet seat lid would not lift all the way up if the lids were still attached to the seat. I had to cut off the second cover (I used wire cutters) to get the seat up. Now the seat is raised by 90%. We have just moved into a new house and one of the guest bathrooms had a broken seat. This makeshift seat works within a short time. I will find a better seat and replace it as soon as possible. Save money, get a better seat elsewhere.
