I was looking for a good way to carry two cameras. I'm new to dual shooting and wasn't sure if this would work for me so didn't want to spend too much. The 3 candidates for me were RS DR-1 Double Strap, Cameraslingers CF-FS or Cotton Carrier. I started reading about it and looking at pictures, videos and anything else I could find. I'm really a fan of the single point of connection to the camera and I use my tripods a lot so I didn't want anything blocking the quick connection at the bottom of the camera. (Not to mention that one of my cameras is a new Pentax K-5 with a battery grip, so the idea of hanging the camera upside down on the grip didn't appeal to me). I was a fan of the OP/Tech single. Camera strap for quite some time so was really happy to see they have dual suspension and was amazed to see how expensive it is compared to others. My Experience: It's just scary at first with two cameras swinging on the sides. When you're standing still, you're fine, but when you walk, lean, crouch, twist, or do anything other than standing still, your gear shakes like a toy. I tried to keep the straps very short to keep the cameras from dangling too far. This makes them more comfortable when you're moving, but if the straps are set too short, they'll be difficult to hold in front of you, especially in portrait mode. It took a bit of fiddling to find the right length so the camera wouldn't fall to the ground when I knelt down. (Also, and obviously, the situation has to do with the length of the lens.) After going out a few times and not feeling quite right, I decided to try something different. I tied one strap to the Op/Tech dual tree and looped the other around my neck, touring style. It seems like a magic combination for me. Even with modest lenses on your body, it's far better just to worry about a shaky camera. I'm a big fan of this orientation. Regardless, I'd like to say that shooting two bodies has been wonderful for me so far. I don't have clinical Attention Deficit Syndrome but I do have a fairly sporadic mindset and when I'm shooting I keep seeing things I want to photograph and it's amazing to have two different types of lenses mounted and ready to shoot at all times. so far i've been a big fan since.
