When this package arrived I was amazed by the great packaging and the first impression I got. Shock absorber, pop screen, arm mount and microphone for this price? It will be great! It turns out my phone has (much) clearer sound quality than this mic. Right now try to record a fragment on your phone and play it through headphones or speakers. You'll sound better than this. I have a Pixel 2 and I'm sure your phone will sound better than this one. look elsewhere EDIT: I'm back 3 months later to update this review. I plugged the mic back in, recorded my voice and was extremely disappointed with the result. Now the microphone is in the back of my room collecting dust. Not only that, the seller increased the price from $58 to $86, apparently to make people believe it was a quality product. Now for $86, you've got some serious mic-quality contenders. For an additional $14 (the cost of your breakfast at Denny's) you can get entry-level mics sold by three leading mic manufacturers. The Shure SM58 costs $99 and is a reliable, tried and true dynamic microphone that will blow your mind. The Blue Yeti Nano is an inexpensive condenser mic (90% of the Blue Yeti at 60% of the cost) also at $99. You finally have the Audio Technica AT2020USB, a bit pricey at $150 but still a great value. You can also find all three of these mics for $70-80. I strongly advise you to look elsewhere! Once again, my phone's mic beats this mic out of the water with no competition. This mic sounds like you're screaming into a PVC pipe while your computer is on the other side. Don't waste money like me!
