Review on Reliable Hot Surface Oven Igniter with 12in Capillary Length: Ensuring Efficient Ignition by Joel Gardner

I have a Kenmore oven model #36271761890. It took over 20 minutes to start although I could see the orange glow on the burner and when it started I could hear a pop indicating the gas needed more time to ignite. When I looked up the part number I found that I needed part number WB13K21 and other reviews/questions said it was the appropriate part number. It was also the best price I could find here at Revain. I ordered this part from ParthouseSupply (from Revain) and received a genuine Robertshaw brand igniter in a red box (part number 41-216). Aside from the different color of the plug, it looked the same as it did in the oven. When I tried to install it I found that it didn't fit in the oven socket. The pin plastic connector was correct, but the pins themselves were the same gender as the oven connector, so it would not connect. There was enough slack on the wires that I could solder to the old green connector and still have enough slack to get the solder joints through the hole in the back of the oven. The oven now starts within 30 seconds and is very quiet. What a big improvement!
