great for removing paint and won't damage finish
I was trying to remove paint from an old airstream I'm renovating. This is a very hard paint --- probably an old oil base. Stripper didn't help and I tried all sorts of sanding discs and stripping wheels. they were all too abrasive and damaged the aluminum. these pads are perfect. They remove paint and will not damage soft aluminum. Of course, discs wear out pretty quickly because they are softer, but that's their whole plus. They're pretty cheap and I'm willing to use more to get the job done well. highly recommended.
