Instead of just tugging on the upper lip roller, place your thumb or forefinger under the lip roller and gently rotate the cup toward the vortex. They'll pop right out - in fact, a few cups sometimes come with the ride. If you're a creature of habit, remember that the vortex changes direction for a few cups, so watch what you're doing. they are also quite frugal. In my opinion, these cups are a shame to take away!
