With the right case, these rings work flawlessly!
The photo shows my work and home phones. This magnetic ring is great for MagSafe. You must tape it to the outside of the case and your case can't be thicker than 8 inches, but it allows for a magnetic attachment to safely charge the magnet. I then connected it to a plate to hold the pop socket and now I can easily turn the pop socket on and off and charge my phone.
