My mistake, I bought the wrong size and didn't exchange it within the return period. I don't recommend a hat if your dog has floppy ears like my Shih Tzu. Even if the hat weren't too small, the pierced ears wouldn't fit her. It really is made for prick-eared dogs. Now for the scarf. this is absolutely AMAZING! If you want a cute Christmas card with your dog, this set is super cute for a photo shoot. In fact, it's very good for heat. Will draw a lot of attention on daily walks! BUT. The pom poms are WAY big and heavy for a small dog. They hit my Shih Tzu's chest with every step and made her uncomfortable as we walked. I tried turning the scarf so the pompoms were on her back and securing it there with a linen clip, but after a few minutes the scarf slipped back down. She ended up getting so annoyed that I just took it off after 10 minutes of our walk. I got home and cut off the pom poms with scissors. I will be using pom poms for future crafts or similar. I'll sew the ends of the scarf together so hopefully the yarn doesn't unravel (I thought of hot glue but wish it was washable) and I'll find a way to secure the scarf so it doesn't fall off (the pom poms held up es) maybe a big button or several hooks. Overall, this is a really nice set, but functionally limited. Five stars for attractiveness, three stars for functionality.
