Purchased refurbished and it was described as 'refurbished like new'. There was a small scratch on the screen. The worst part was the charger that came with it. It was a cheap universal "yoke" power supply with a super short cord. It will not charge. It was a gift and I didn't want to wait for a refund so I got another charger to work with. It wasn't worth sending the broken device back and I paid almost as much for shipping as I did for the charger. What really pissed me off was Asus' customer service. I called to see if anything could be done and was told they offer a guarantee and will only help with the tablet, not the charger. The charger is an essential part of the operation of the tablet. The tour guide pretty much said "not our problem" and that was it. I'm waiting for something to happen during the return period so I can send it back. Some apps felt a bit slow and the charging port already seems to be an issue. I should also mention that I have already ordered the same tablet from another company and it arrived with a bad/loose connector. I have several Asus tablets (as well as mobile devices and other components) and they are usually pretty good. It just looks like they cut some corners. I base my 3 stars on the product and support but I will say that buying a refurbished unit wasn't worth the hassle.
