I've had this potato rice maker for over a year and it helps me make very smooth and creamy mashed potatoes. It replaced a cheap supermarket model I bought years ago that was much smaller and had rusted over time. I put it in the dishwasher (even on the bottom shelf!) and it looks brand new. The pot stand extension is a feature my other drawer didn't have and I couldn't imagine not having it now. While it's a bit harder to squeeze the top handle when the rice cooker is full to the brim, it's not impossible, and fewer potatoes can be loaded into the rice cooker to make the process easier. The materials are first-class and the Santoprene handle ensures a secure grip even with slightly damp hands after working in the kitchen. Although the purchase price of around 40 euros is a bit high, at least for me, I don't think I'll have to replace it now that it's broken or worn for over a year. .
