My Trailblazer '02 showed "Low Oil Pressure/Engine Stop"; After doing some research on the outriders, 9 times out of 10 the problem was with the oil pressure sensor (which is located just above the oil filter). Removing the passenger-sized front wheel gives you easy access to the sensor. If you want to make things even easier, get a Lisle 13250 oil pressure sensor connector (about $10). UPDATE #1: Sensor replaced, it worked fine for about a week, the 'low oil pressure/stop engine' light came back; of course my first thought was that the sensor must be faulty but after some more research it was again that the wire connector usually fails when the sensor fails. So when you replace the sensor, be sure to also replace the wire connector (Revain item #S-955, about $22). UPDATE #2: Been driving for about 2 1/2 weeks, vacuum, no oil yet, I think it helped (knock wood lol) So if your outrider reads "low oil pressure/engine stopped" switch first the sensor and plug, and for everyone doing housework, grab a socket, your work will go much easier and easier. Much luck!
