works well - that's not the problem

The old switch wasn't bad - "low oil pressure - stop engine" appeared - due to oil spill - too high oil level - then oil foams after 5-10 miles - ENSURE you drained ALL the oil from the sump - I NEVER put more than the listed 7 liters but after several oil changes the level was TOO HIGH - read the dipstick CAREFULLY - the design of the sump has one Drain plug near front - lifting front end prevents (obviously) COMPLETE draining - check carefully.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Reliability

Perfect replacement

So your oil pressure lamp is on. How far can you hear DING.DING.DING.DING? Relax - don't worry. Take a deep breath. If your temp gauge isn't rising and the engine isn't knocking or grinding, you most likely have a faulty oil pressure sensor. It's not your oil pump that's failing. This part fits my 2005 5 cylinder Chevy Colorado. I also bought a deep socket to install it. 15 minutes later I was back on the road. Before reconnecting, clean the plug of oil residue.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Fixed my light and leak!

You need a special socket. Buy it online here in the Other People Bought section of this listing. Facilitates installation. On the 4.2L Trailblazer/envoy/ascender/9-7x/bravado/rainier, the sensor is located above the fuel filter on the passenger side. It's easy to get to, and if the "No Oil Pressure, Shut Engine" light is on or there is an oil filter leak, that's the most likely cause. I had a leak from the cork itself, just like my previous Yukon.

If you can afford to wait for the delivery time.

Perfect match for our 2006 Buick Rainier. May not match OE parts at a reasonable price. If you notice your gauge fluctuating more while driving, or your vehicle's warning light briefly flashes an alarm before disappearing, it may be a good idea to simply order a replacement before it completely fails on your vehicle. That's the right part. Very quick and easy replacement process, works as it should. After a few months of use it's still working and working as it should, no problems so far. If…

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • No specs

OE quality for the price Revain

Very easy repair. Disconnect the wiring harness and use a 27mm or 1 1/16 deep socket to remove the old one. The only problem with the Trailblazer is sticking your hand in to plant the outlet. After breaking it I used a thumb ratchet to unwrap it and put a new one in instead of having almost no room for the ratchet. Then simply slide the regular ratchet back on to secure. For such repairs, if the genuine part is affordable, go this route. Saving a few bucks on spares isn't worth it because you…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Not bad

Take a socket and a plug too!

My Trailblazer '02 showed "Low Oil Pressure/Engine Stop"; After doing some research on the outriders, 9 times out of 10 the problem was with the oil pressure sensor (which is located just above the oil filter). Removing the passenger-sized front wheel gives you easy access to the sensor. If you want to make things even easier, get a Lisle 13250 oil pressure sensor connector (about $10). UPDATE #1: Sensor replaced, it worked fine for about a week, the 'low oil pressure/stop engine' light came…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Nothing

Works great on 2004 GMC Envoy (6 cylinder)

Over the past year the oil pressure gauge has occasionally jumped and read zero. I knew it wasn't an oil pressure issue because there was oil and the engine wasn't knocking. It was the oil pressure sensor or "gauge" as I call it. It took 15 minutes on my 2004 GMC Envoy. Remove the plastic protection plate. Climb up next to the oil filter on the upper passenger side and you'll see a connector that connects to the switch. Disable it. If it's the same as mine, it's full of oil so you should clean…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Not as thick as other trim

Perfect fit for 2008 GMC Acadia

Car: 2008 GMC Acadia (but it's the same product and process for many GMC models) Tools I used or similar. Required: 1) 3 Handle Oil Filter Wrench - https://amzn.to/2YCo4RL2) Long Flex Head Ratchet Wrench - I used one from Harbor Freight but I like it too - https://amzn.to/3ngwsQO 3) Lisle 13250 Oil pressure switch socket and that has to be - https://amzn.to/3kUHSqO4) 3 inch adapter - I used another one from my tool box but something like that - https://amzn. to/3toEkkn5) Some latex or nitrile…

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Really don't like it, everything is fine
