I bought this for my 16.5-17lb Boston Terrier to travel with me on JetBlue and Alaska Airlines. With the smallest possible capacity (all expandable parts are zipped) I definitely wouldn't fit a larger dog in here! If you're buying this for your pet, make sure it fits comfortably and can turn around in its compact size, as that's what airlines will take note of. She can get in from the front and then turn around, but she's definitely pushing lol. She likes small "caves" so this works for her, but a panicked dog of the same size probably won't have a good time. One of my only complaints is the tether feature. They chose the worst closure that doesn't open/close and I really wouldn't want to mess with that when trying to protect my dog before/after the TSA. Likewise! I want them to do something to distinguish many flashes. It is very easy to accidentally pull the wrong zipper and instead of unzipping the item, unzip the zipper fully on one side. It would be nice if the ones that extend the bag just had a different color label because sometimes there are 3-4 zippers next to each other that look the same and only one of them won't let your dog out. Of course I can just buy colored yarn and make it at home, but it would be nice to just include it in the kit. Otherwise, as far as I can tell, it's a pretty decent bag. I love that I can give her more room to stretch out and roll during flight no matter which side of the plane I'm on. It fits even the smallest airline sizes so you can't go wrong. Will be updated again after her first flight in it!
