I have just attended my annual sea fishing trip and needed an easy to use and reliable road-rail vehicle. They run on two AA batteries and basically lasted the entire trip. The average usage time is about 4 hours per day. The signal and clarity of these walkie talkies are really good for the price. I was afraid my friends and I would lose them during the trip so I wanted to buy a two way set with a budget in mind. They exceeded my expectations and can be reused for many other events. The reception volume is pleasant and loud. I've only experienced once that I had to change the channel to be able to call my other walkie-talkies better, and that was because we had to drive through a dense wooded area. The overall build of these walkie-talkies is great and I was blown away by the price. They can easily be compared to high end walkie talkies at a fraction of the price. Their only downside (which really deserves a lower star rating) was that they don't come with the AA batteries required to power walkie-talkies. It's not really a big deal, but for other buyers, don't forget to prepare eight triple fives before setting out on your adventure with these walkie-talkies!
