So far I've only used them to refinish a worktop that had fairly deep scratches on the veneered worktop, but they cut really well, give a great finish without damaging the veneer and show no signs of wear on either surface. Hard drives I've used. While I can't say for sure how long they will last (haven't worn them yet), it's already clear that they will last longer than I expected. You can pay three times more for a disc but I don't see why it would be worth doing.
