I had a little trouble understanding the settings, mainly on/off/switches, but then I ran into this problem. So we just hung it up and it worked. I read too much in the instructions. In the first 48 hours, a large deer passed, a neighbor approached the gate and left, and an unidentified car turned around at the gate. We live at the end of a long dirt road so there is a lot more activity here than we expected. Now I can't wait to check it out every morning. The day picture is awesome, the night picture is ok but the night video is not that good. The battery drains quickly so we're going to connect the solar panel we have. In general I recommend, especially considering the low price.
