I bought this stool because I like the Hokki stools in my 3rd grade class but can't afford them. This stool is very similar to the Hokki stool but has some disadvantages. It is much heavier than the Hokki.2 chair. The seat is much heavier; I find it impractical. Some of my kids don't like it, but some don't mind.3. In the one I have, the seat pushes back slightly instead of curving inward to contour your butt. I don't think he should be doing this, but he is. When I first got it I just wanted to send it back because I found it very inconvenient. But I let my kids try it and many of them said they love it anyway. Also, the return shipping should cost $11. So I decided to keep it, but unfortunately it's not a Hokki stool. I also tried the Kore Wobble. I don't like this stool because it doesn't have grippy foam like this stool and the Hokki stool. I felt like I would slip off it every time I tried to swing. At the same time it is easy. Everything is OK. There is one stool that I like, probably more than the Hokki stool, but it's also expensive. This is a height-adjustable active study chair from Learniture. It's INCREDIBLY comfortable. The swing is very pleasant for my senses. It adjusts for height and rotates (younger kids are likely to abuse this). The only downside is that it's about 20 inches at its deepest point, which I thought was too big for third graders. This would be ideal for 5th graders or older. Teachers will love that it becomes a study chair. In a survey I conducted in class, one of the most popular rocking chairs was also the cheapest. This is a regular yoga ball. I have a yoga ball in my chair but they prefer a plain yoga ball. My favorite yoga ball is the Spri Ignite. It's filled with sand to make it heavier so it doesn't tip over. And if you try to bounce it because you think yoga balls should be treated like basketballs during transitions, it won't bounce at all. Kids hate this feature but I love it! General recommendations for swing seats: 1. You have a lot of money and teach young children: Hokki Stool2. You've got lots of money and you're teaching older kids: the Learniture3 Active Learning Adjustable Stool. You don't have much money: I will never buy a sand-filled yoga ball again, a Regency Glow stool, because there are much better options.
