I used this on a GM Gen 3 V8. The first thing I noticed was that the matchlines were barely visible in the suboptimal garage. To fix this I used a high res oil marker and drew lines. It became much easier to see. Since some of my readings were fragmentary, I think it would be nice to have a different color label halfway through. The only other downside was that the threads were loose. I have no doubt that it moved when placed or removed. If the top was harder to turn, it would be more accurate. I used an 8 inch digital caliper to test it for accuracy and it was accurate at 9 turns. Those two issues aside, it's a good tool for measuring the required pushrod length.
