Pros: It is cute and charming, and it looks great on the table. It's small and unobtrusive and even comes with an extra blade insert so you can replace it when the sharpener gets dull. It is practical that it can be connected to a USB port. So far, so good. The settings seem to work (from "blunt"/round end to sharp/pointed end - your choice of sharpening style). Cons: It just doesn't work for me. I stuck a partially dull pencil into the sharpener and instead of sharpening it straight, he snatched the pencil from my hand and started twisting it. I didn't have to choke the pencil to keep him still to peak. He even broke my pencil tearing off a piece of wood from the pencil lead to the color of the pencil (beyond the shaved/sharpened exposed area of the wood) down to the lead itself. Of course the pencil shaft broke as soon as I pressed it against the paper since the Most of the wooden base was missing. Three stars. The one I got might just have a dull blade, but I'm not sure the motor is powerful enough to sharpen a pencil smoothly and comfortably.
