These bearings run properly lubricated rather than preloaded. My set of 4 was made by the Chinese company WPS. As a trained locksmith, I take care of the surface quality of bearings, for example. When inspecting WPS bearings with a 5x jeweller's loupe. The surface finish of the bearing rings looks good. However, I was a bit disappointed with the surface finish of the bearings themselves. In my opinion they should have been a bit better. As said, they will most likely do the job, but they don't look as good as something like a Timken bearing kit in terms of surface finish. I've seen some good bearing kits made in China so I know they can.
