Review on Aftermarket Eaton Style SW38D Trigger Switch: Replaces DeWalt 153609-00 – Superior Electric by John Graves

Powered by Dewalt DW705

Just hooked up to an old Dewalt miter saw (DW705 Type 1) and it works like clockwork. This involves removing some of the plastic from the original handle (this is easy to do with a Dremel tool). Refer to the schematic, no splicing of existing wiring is required, but the pin orientation is slightly different from Eaton's OEM switch. I'm glad this old $11.50 saw is working again. There are videos on Youtube showing what Dewalt miter saws are all about. "Believe me, it's easier (and $40 cheaper) to change that derailleur than to buy the entire grip module for those Dewalts. Photos of two switches installed on Dewalt.
