The product is just fantastic! My floors are 8 inches wide and the house is very old. Some of the boards show curves. The squeaks were just awful, especially in the most passable spots in the house. I thought this product might help with the squeaking but never thought it would essentially eliminate it. If you have even a little on hand, you can do it yourself. Exactly. I agree that you need to use a smaller drill bit. I used a cordless drill and found that if I left it to drive screws in, they would shear easily. The creaking on my floor was between the hardwood floor and the sub-floor. If your creaking was between the subfloor and the joists, I'm not sure this will work for you. The screws are not long enough to go through the wood floor, sub-floor, and into the joist. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who has an old house with squeaky floors.
