Bought for use in 1 gallon of paint in daughter's room. The product itself mixes easily. There is no room for it in the glass, so you need a separate mixing device. Be sure to use a color mixer. It will be easier for you, but you can do it manually. The paint becomes thick. If the color stays on for a while between coats, like the next day like mine, blend again. I felt the grains settle. I used a thicker knobbed roller so I'm not sure how the foam roller will work. The color applied easily and applied well. The texture is rough. I did 2 layers. I had splatters that you don't normally get with regular paint, probably due to the longer nap and thicker consistency. I didn't get a chance to clean the room before painting, so I fiddled with the furniture. I would definitely cover the floors and any furniture that is near where you are painting. My daughter loves it but it's not my choice of style or texture.
