It all adds up to a pretty solid party. However, it was quite difficult to combine. There seems to be too much paint on the link ends. You have to work really hard to line up the holes and if you overdo it, good luck with the gap. Once that was done, it was pretty easy. This will take additional time if you have cat helpers. Both of my cats weigh about 10 pounds and maintain their weight without sagging. The velcro that holds part of the "hammock" is quite strong. Not sure what the suction cups on the bottom are for, but I think if you have a wooden floor this will prevent slipping.
