I like these sponges because they don't trap bacteria and don't have a horrible smell, but they require a little more cleaning action than regular sponges, which is kind of to be expected, and the soap disappears quicker than I'd like , which is to be expected because they don't absorb like a normal sponge. They crack after using them for a while (mine hasn't cracked for a good month and a half of daily use) so I'd say it's normal wear and tear but not a big deal. In fact, I could still use it for a while after it ripped, I couldn't even tell it ripped at first. It was more of a cut and then a tear. I'm definitely ordering more. I don't think I'll ever go back to regular sponges. I would recommend if you are looking for something similar.
