When I found out they leak incandescent bulbs I stocked them up to avoid using CFLs (ugh!). There were several options for LEDs at the time, notably dimmable incandescent bulbs, 3-strips and higher powered LED equivalents. I have some expensive light bulbs with built in dimmers or 3 position switches and the CFLs just didn't work and looked horrible in those bulbs so I wanted to have a lifetime supply of bulbs for them. It was a great price for these lamps, which were becoming increasingly unaffordable. I love color! As LEDs have gotten better and better, I've replaced many of these bulbs with LEDs, but I keep them in the garage in case the LED burns out (in 10 or 20 years).
