My first winter on Velcro, I had always gone entirely on spikes, but on the recommendation of some friends, I decided to try linden instead. At first, there were some reservations about driving without spikes, but ultimately, the new tires did not cause any dissatisfaction. At the beginning of the season, when most of the riders were white and were riding on asphalt, the first impressions were fantastic! Velcro offers significantly more traction and control on asphalt when compared to spikes. Plus - quiet! Then winter arrived, and fortunately for us, this year it brought snow and frost along with it. In conditions that were more accurately representative of winter, I did not encounter any issues with rubber. The way the snow is handled is quite well. The handling on snow is outstanding, with confident and predictable movement on descents, ascents, and in turns. The stopping power is sufficient. Even in temperatures as low as minus 25 degrees Celsius, it never tans, the rubber never hardens, and all of the features of behavior on the road are maintained, as was discussed earlier. It is also quite usual for there to be wet oatmeal under the wheels when there has been thawing, so don't worry about that. The most challenging aspects of winter are undoubtedly the snow and ice. However, let's pretend that this occurrence only occurs occasionally and not very often. Velcro comes out on the losing end when compared to the spikes since, of course, you can't fool physics. But the most important thing is that rubber allows you to sufficiently feel all of the movements of the car and, as a result, understand how to drive on ice. This is true even if you have already managed to get on the ice. That is to say, ice is not a problem if you have certain skills in general winter driving and accuracy.
