I bought a new computer and this one is new too.

I bought a new computer and also this new monitor. The monitor comes with a user manual and installation software. I tried to install the software on my new computer but I couldn't see the image on the monitor. I had to connect the monitor to my old laptop via an HDMI cable (not included, optional) and download the software. I then connected the monitor to my new computer via HDMI cables and it works. Hope no one else has this problem.
