This flood light comes in a small package — much smaller than a traditional wall powered flood light. Yet it still puts out an incredible amount of light; comparable to that of a wall powered light. It has an all metal body construction, save for the recessed plastic light cover. There’s also a metal hook/stand/handle that can, well, serve a variety of purposes.As for the light itself, it has 15W of power, and 650 lumens. I found that it was plenty bright to illuminate a variety of indoor situations. Outdoor situations shouldn’t be a problem, as long as the light is relatively close to your work zone. What’s even cooler is the waterproof abilities of this light. Now, it’s only rated to IP65. Meaning, it’s protected from dust and water jets from any direction. Because of that, I’d advise against giving it a dip in the pool.There’s another interesting feature about this light. And that is the SOS light. What that mode does is flash red and blue repeatedly, without any pattern. I question the usefulness of this feature, but I suppose that it might be handy if you were trapped at the top of a telephone pole without any way to get down. Except, that the red and blue colors aren’t that bright when compared with the normal white light.There’s even some a bonus feature: it doubles as a USB power bank. The battery is 6600mAh, but it’s safe to assume that it’s the same battery as that which powers the light itself. So, expect that the duration of the light will decrease if you’re charging your phone at the same time. It’s also worth noting that the set 5v, 2a charging isn’t going to provide excellent charging speeds to a variety of devices like an Anker power bank would. But, it’s definitely going to keep your phone alive while on the job site.So, did I just write several paragraphs about a work light? Yes I did. Is it super special that you should ditch whatever you have now and get this? No. But if you’re looking for a relatively inexpensive work light that has a couple tricks up its sleeve, then this isn’t a bad way to go.
