Review on MICHELIN X-Ice North 4 205/55 R16 94T winter by Barbara Szymanska ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Medium quality, especially for that kind of money.

Apparently, due to the design, it is not very comfortable to drive along the highway, the feeling that you are driving on flat tires does not leave. In a rut behaves uncertainly, you have to go very concentrated. Due to problems with spikes and stability, I would not recommend for purchase to those who travel a lot on the highway.

Pros
  • Excellent grip as long as the tire is new and with studs. A couple of times saved from an accident in the city due to a short braking distance. Excellent tires for a city in a province where roads are not cleaned, but apparently subject to operation without much driving on the highway.
Cons
  • After the first season, the spikes began to break off, by the end of the third season, 80% of the spikes were broken off. Mileage on winter tires for 3 seasons is 30 thousand km, of which 90% of the mileage is the track. In the absence of spikes, the tire loses all its advantages, it became frankly scary to drive on the highway.
