The device is ready for use immediately after unpacking. The tricky part was the wiring. I immediately had trouble turning on the NVR multiple times a day. Each time, new settings are made by default and all settings are removed. It took 2 weeks of calls before a technician came to help. Stable operation could be achieved for about 10 days. Then it started cycling the power on and off again, but only every few days. Now it won't turn on. The power supply is deformed and looks very overheated. Finally they took me seriously and sent me a replacement power supply unit after proof of purchase. Will be updated.
