I have a very, very sick horse. I have to take his temperature twice a day, sometimes more if he has a fever. The first thermometer I ordered lasted a week and I thoroughly enjoyed using it until the lines in the center of the display disappeared. If I could track this (while the horse is moving) I could determine the number where the timeline ends. I chose to exchange for a new thermometer which arrived with no problems and the exchange process was easy. However, the new thermometer has too many lines on the display, or the lines also disappear and the numbers are not legible at all. When I have a VERY sick horse and need to know if he has a fever, I don't have time to play around with a thermometer that may or may not show the animal's actual temperature. In my case, that may mean losing my horse. I need to know his body temperature to determine what is safe to inject. I do not recommend this product and I don't see how I can create a return to get my money back so I can buy a thermometer that does what it was designed to do. The only option I have is to "return" my replacement thermometer for $0.00, which is complete crap. If the buyer contacts me to find a better solution, I will edit my review. In the meantime, choose another, more reliable option.
