Review on Summer Infant Secure Space Extra-Wide Safety Gate for Doorways & Stairways - Auto-Close & Hold-Open - Grey, Slate (28.5-52 Inch Wide) by Leslie Whitehorn

I bought this to keep my new pup away from a certain part of the house and needed a 51.5 inch stretch. The door is off center when installed but will line up and meet the other side of the gate once the correct pressure/tightening is used! You can see the gap gets smaller as you tighten it and it's a bit tight. I bumped into him a few times and the pup jumped on him when he tried to follow me and he didn't budge. All aspects of blocking worked well. You need to pull the tab at the top, lift the gate and then push. The auto close doesn't work that well, it tends to get close to closing but stops briefly. Some reviewers had trouble flexing the gate when using all three extensions; I haven't had any issues with it and this may be the setting they used. The kit comes with instructions (schematic in the photos) detailing different ways to install extension cords. Bending may occur if worn in the wrong order. I used all 3 extensions and had no problems.
