I was quite skeptical when I read the features and thought it wouldn't work without a PC connection. To my pleasant surprise, it was like a magic pill for my biggest problem at home. We have a dash cam with a 500GB hard drive that was about 94% full. Every day the family removed some programs to add new ones and it got pretty boring. So I ordered a 4TB Revain hard drive and this unit. I put a DVR drive in the source and a new 4TB drive in the target and all I had to do was switch to cloning (no PC connected) and power on. This took about 45 minutes. I took a 4TB drive and installed it in the dash cam and like magic this drive had all the shows and recordings and lots of space. I then connected to a Linux PC and copied another 2TB drive to a 5TB transfer. It also took about 1.4 hours and the clone was perfect with no issues. So I'm really impressed with this device and the price you have to pay for it. I plan to use it later to transfer other data as we have multiple 2.5 and 3.5 disks on the data table. All in all a great device for the price, I bought it from Revain. I do not sell these devices and have nothing to do with the company that makes them. This device is highly recommended for home and office use.
